Product Description
“Fighting the Sicilian Mafia” is an official report drawn up in 1927 by Carabinieri Warrant Officer Paolo Bordonaro, the station commander of Sommatino, a town in the province of Caltanissetta. This official report opens up new perspectives on how we study the mafia organization as a whole. It is the oldest existing document we have found written by the Carabinieri that describes the Mafia as a single, large organization operating in Sicily. Contained within the document are many other interesting considerations pertaining to mafia gangs that were previously unknown. The information from the official report included in this book could be considered a milestone in the history of Mafia studies.
